Description
Yam flour is made from yams, and it is used to make Nigerian staple “Amala” popular with the people of western Nigeria. Amala when well prepared, is light and fluffy, and can be eaten with any soup of your choice.
How to Prepare Amala: Put some water in a pot to boil. While the water is still boilling on the burner, gradually add yam flour and keep stiring to make sure it is lump free. Then turn well untill a thick paste is achieved. Add some water and put back on the burner to cook properly for about five minutes. Bring down and keep stiring untill smooth and fluffy,then serve wit any soup of your choice.
